In response to students’ requests, the Bata Library will be extending its opening hours to 2:00am from Monday, March 29 through Friday, April 23, 2010. This initiative is made possible with support and funding from the Trent Central Students Association (TCSA).
Peterborough Transit will offer extended bus service during this period. Students planning to stay until closing at 2:00am are advised to consult the bus schedule (http://www.trentu.ca/studentaffairs/transportation_busschedules.php) daily for information about any changes to the extended service schedule.
Library users will have access to the Trent computer network and study space. Research assistance, circulation and reserves service, and group study rooms will not be available during the extended study hours. Students will be able to use the self-checkout machine to sign out books.
All Library users must show a valid Trent ID in order to gain entry and remain in the Library after the regular closing time of 11pm. Two uniformed security personnel will be present to ensure all Library users feel safe and to provide assistance in the event of a medical or personal safety emergency. Library users are expected to comply with posted Library policies regarding appropriate use of the Library and to extend courtesy to other users.
